THIS WEEK Plans begin to see Pevensey Bay and locality become ‘homegrown festival showcase'

COMMUNITY Life of local campaigner, Jan Barron, to be celebrated in the community with a new award

The Anglers Den in North Road Pevensey Bay, by anglers for anglers since 1990, is the granddaddy of them all when when talk turns to local business.

The business, as well as being a thriving enterprise deeply embedded in the psyche of the locality is part social centre, part walk in wonderland and heart and soul of the community for all the fishing folk here.

Talking to the Pevensey Bay Journal yesterday (July 17), owners mentioned their plans to celebrate thirty years with some special promotions. The anniversary year will soon appear on the horizon..

We will be celebrating with the Anglers Den with a special timeline pull out feature in the newspaper as part of their celebrations when the time comes

Anglers Den, Pevensey Bay, is a fishing tackle shop selling sea and coarse angling equipment and bait, run by brothers Glyn and Kevin Morgan.

On their website they explain, ‘both hooked on fishing from an early age, Glyn and Kevin opened Anglers Den in 1990 so they could pass on their enthusiasm for the sport.

“They have built up a sound local reputation for offering a friendly personal service and expert technical advice, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction. Just read the reviews. Customers include novice, pleasure, experienced and competition anglers.

“Into 2019 Anglers Den goes from strength to strength with growing online sales from a revamped website and an extension to the shop in 2017 meaning more space, stock and choice than ever before. You can view our website at www.anglersdensussex.co.uk Our staff team has also recently been extended with the addition of local angler Les Glazzard who has come out of retirement to help us out through the busy months!”
