The building isn’t unattractive, but it doesn’t fit in. Like the previous planning application, it will dominate the site. Added to that, eight dwellings with the potential for sixteen vehicles is far too many for the location. And an underground carpark, given the ground structure? It’s an excuse to demolish, then leave the site derelict for years once ‘unforeseen difficulties’ are encountered, then planning permission will be much easier to get for a block of flats.
